Abstract

School quality of life refers to the physical, emotional and social experiences of students in the schools where they receive education.  The scope of quality of school life defines the factors that affect the quality of the time individuals spend at school. Increased quality of school life has a positive impact not only on students' academic achievement, but also on their mental health, social skills and overall life satisfaction. This study aims to provide recommendations for educational policies and school administrations by analysing the effects of school quality of life on student development in depth.

The effects of quality of school life on students range from academic achievement to emotional health, from social relationships to dropout rates. A high quality school life positively affects not only students' academic achievement but also their personal and social development. Therefore, school administrators and educators should develop various strategies to improve the quality of school life and work towards increasing this quality together with all stakeholders of the school.
